Personal Story:
I was chatting with my toy buddy, Anna Pulchalski, and she offered her latest Qee figures for me to review. Thanks Anna, you rock! :)

Introduction:
This is a pair of Qee figures designed by Anna Pulchaski aka Angel Devil Dolls. There are two versions. One version is available exclusively at Tower Records and the other is available as an International set. The difference is that the Tower Records exclusive DogGyQ Qee is translucent while the International version's DogGyQ is silver-frosted. You are looking at the Tower Records exclusive.

Sculpt:
This two-pack contains one DogGyQ Qee and one KitKatQ figure. They are similar to the regular BearBearQ bodies except the head sculpts are different.

There are some extras here that the typical Qees don't include. The Pussycat has an earring on its right ear and the Dog's body is translucent. The earring was a very nice detail and the translucent Dog body was a nice design decision to show its "ghostliness" (yes, I know that's not a word).

The only accessories included are the keychains and a postcard which doubled as a piece of art. I wish it included more accessories like maybe a staff or other Egyptian relics. I think it would've enhanced this set.

Paint:
The paint job is excellent. This is probably one of my favorite Qee designs of all time. The Pussycat was painted with a metallic gold body while the jewels and markings on its body included a combination of a blue, gray and black colors. I really love the details like the markings around its eyes and the little accessory designs on its body. The headdress looks especially cool. The jewel design on its forehead actually has an extra bit of detail to make it look like it's sparkling. Nice. I also like the "Ankh" on its chest. This is definitely one of the more detailed Qees out there. Great job.

The Dog was a bit simpler. It was painted with a combination of a metallic silver, purple and black colors. I really like the minimalist design of the Dog figure. The markings around the eyes are just as nice looking as the Pussycat's design. The paint worked extremely well with the translucent body. The designs for the head worked really well with the Dog's ears to make it look like a pharaoh's headdress. Smart? Yes. Clever? Indeed. I also like the little bits of paint for its finger/toenails. Good details.

Both figures' paint jobs are extremely clean and wonderfully done. Solid.

Overall: A+
One of my favorite Qee designs out there. The design is very nice and I really love the colors. They look great. If you like Qees or Egyptian-inspired designs then you should check them out!

Where can I find this?
You will only find this version at Tower Records so get them there.

Other Images:

The figures in their packaging. Super nice design and construction. It's extremely collector friendly. I was able to put the figures back into the package without any problems. Sweet.

The included stuff. The art doubles as a postcard which is nice.

"So I had to console Cleopatra last night cuz Alexander forgot her birthday *sigh*..."

The back. Just as clean as the front.
