Personal Story:
I was looking at Ebay for another Buffy related item when I came across this figure. I wasn't very interested until I saw photos of it. It looked really cool and since it's limited, I was persuaded enough to grab it. I got it for the lowest price out of all the other ones being listed so that was cool. The Ebay seller messed up though. The box was damaged so it wasn't mint as described. Good thing I don't care for package condition. There's also a chase variant version with a different colored top but it's selling for an insane price that only hardcore Buffy collectors will pay for. Crazy Buffy fans. :P

Introduction:
This figure was made by Moore Action Collectibles. This figure is based on the character Buffy from the TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This figure was released exclusively for a company called Ikon Collectibles. It was to be sold exclusively in Australia. This is a limited variant version of the original figure from the series 2 Buffy action figures. Limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide. More specifically, the normal version with the aqua top is limited to 4,167 pieces and the chase variant with the pink top is limited to 833 pieces. You're looking at the normal version.

Sculpt:
Pretty good. They captured the look of the actress Sarah Michelle Gellar very well. Her face is dead on. It's very impressive. I'm actually happy someone managed to make a female figure's face look just like the source for once. Even Mcfarlane Toys has yet to sculpt an accurate face of a human female character from real life. The face is very very nice overall. Her hair is very good too. They managed to sculpt strands of it rather than giving us one giant blank mold. The body is equally nice and very slick. The top has all the little creases and wrinkles. Her tight leather pants look very realistic too. There's nothing that stands out but it's a very nice looking sculpt and she looks very feminine. They captured the look of the actress very well. I'm glad they didn't add extra boobage to her. Good job Moore.

The accessories are the real draw here. The main accessory that you'll notice is the leather jacket. It's made from REAL lambskin. Very cool. The jacket looks okay though. As you can see, the jacket looks way too large for our poor Buffy. It seems they weren't able to create an accurate leather jacket in this scale. The jacket is also missing important features. They could've added something like a zipper or maybe buttons. Even pockets would be nice. Sadly, none of those things are here so the jacket doesn't look real even though the material is.

The other accessories include a base with a tombstone and Buffy's weapons. The tombstone is alright. They managed to create the carvings and cracks on the tombstone and the grass is there. It's pretty cool but the sculpt is quite average. Buffy's weapons include a crossbow, knife, stake, sword and hammer. They are nicely made and detailed. It's good they added these since it gives me more options to display her.

The figure stands very well on the base once you get her into the pegs. Buffy has limited articulation. She can turn her head, move her arms and bend her legs. But it's not a figure you can really play with that much. The overall look of the figure with the base and accessories is real nice.

Paint:
The paint job is less impressive. I like how the hair and eyes are cleanly painted. The managed to capture Sarah Michelle Gellar's eyes really well. But I think her eyes could've been designed better. Buffy looks very sleepy. :P Her hair is a little flat too. There wasn't enough shades of color to make it stand out. I also feel her skin color is little too dark if you compared her to the actress. The top is nicely painted. The legs are painted with a glossy black paint to show you that it's leather. Very nice. But there's nothing truly outstanding about it. The paint job for the base and accessories are good. The tombstone looks realistic and the weapons have a lot of small details. The grass on the base is way too green though. It's okay overall.

Also, my figure's left knee had a chipped paint which bugged the hell out of me. Something happened before it was packaged which is unfortunate. Too bad.

Overall: B+
This is a very cute figure of Buffy. It's probably one of the best representations of Sarah Michelle Gellar I'd ever seen. If you missed out on the regular figure (like me) then this is a must have. I wish the figure was larger though.

Where can I find this?
Even though it's limited, some online stores still have this since it's relatively new (as of this review). Your best bet is on Ebay where many sellers have it available outside Australia.

Other Images:

The box. The design is okay. The colors are boring and the text is a bit cluttered. What's up with the giant "Choking Hazard" warning label?

"Darn it Willow. I told you I wanted the size MEDIUM jacket..."

Buffy's arsenal. Very cool.

The back.
